WWE Friday Night Smackdown is part of UK PPV EVENTS. Below are the start times in both UK and US
Eastern, the devices it plays on, and the two or three things worth checking before it begins.

When it starts

Times occasionally shift at short notice, so it is worth opening the guide a few minutes early rather than
exactly on the hour.

Don’t miss it

PhantomFlix carries the channels covering this event in HD. It works on the hardware you already own —
Amazon Firestick and Fire TV, Samsung and LG smart TVs, Android phones and tablets, iPhone and iPad, Windows and
Mac laptops, and Android TV boxes. There is nothing to install on the TV itself beyond a player app, and activation
is immediate.

Worth checking first

• Raise your player’s buffer. In TiviMate: Settings → Player → Buffer size →
Very Large. This resolves more freezing than anything else, and takes seconds.
• Use Ethernet if you can. A Firestick’s aerial sits behind the TV, which is one of the worst
spots in the room for signal. A $15 adapter removes the packet loss that causes most stutter.
• Open the channel early. Live events draw far more traffic than on-demand content, so
tuning in five minutes before the start avoids the rush.

If it buffers

Buffering during a live event is usually the connection to the device rather than your broadband speed —
if Netflix plays in HD, you have enough bandwidth. Our
seven fixes for IPTV buffering walks through
them in order of likelihood, and the
TiviMate buffer setting alone solves most cases.
